SS25
The Goldwin 0 Spring Summer 2025 collection responds to the need for protection and cooling during the spring and summer months, deploying cutting-edge construction to provide both comfort and functionality. Forms take their cue from the natural world and a series of research expeditions into the landscapes of Oregon. Outerwear inspired by the gently curving verticality of seed-pods wraps around the body to form a protective shell. Shirts and bottoms harness the elements through interlocking mechanical ventilation panels that open to provide airflow during movement. Colours are drawn from geology, with the intense mineral reds and earthy greys, blacks and creams of rock formations. Print, a first for Goldwin 0, was developed through a generative algorithmic process to create a motif that mimics the complex mathematical patterns found throughout nature. The materiality of the collection is lightweight and durable. Premium fabrics such as double weave Pertex®Equilibrium feature in outerwear and bottoms to shield against the elements while wicking moisture away from the body. Elsewhere, wrinkled nylon taffeta and densely woven organic cotton provide an elevated tactility. A field shell jacket reappears with a lighter GORE-TEX 3-layer shell, minimalist single panel construction and updated fastening hardware, typifying the Goldwin 0 design principle of gradually refining concepts over time to produce garments that are technically complex yet simple in form.
